So we’re going the bio route. Excellent. Let’s get to it.
I have been writing about science, medicine and technology since the earliest days of the 21st century. In this time, I have worked with universities, hospitals, trade journals and medical device companies, both in communicating the latest advances in biomedical imaging and in highlighting the efforts of the scientists behind them.
For the past nearly a decade, I have handled all communications efforts for the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, a premier research institution affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School and MIT.
Since joining the center full-time, I have introduced and developed a news-focused website, a robust social media presence — which now also includes an extensive webinar infrastructure — and both online and print publications. I have collaborated with professionals across Mass General to ensure the greatest impact for each of these.
In addition, in the past several years, I have overseen a rebranding effort and an overhaul of the center’s website and recently completed a 200+ page “coffee table book” covering the 40-year history of the center, writing all of the content and supervising the visual design. (I’ll share a link once it’s online.)
At the same time, I have contributed to a wide range of department- and hospital-wide efforts. This includes writing news releases for MGH Public Affairs — leading to coverage in the New York Times, Time.com, Boston Magazine, New York Magazine, The London Daily Mail, and more — and authoring the “Radiology Rounds” newsletter, with in-depth discussions of often-complex topics related to radiology research and clinical practice.
In 2020, I managed the transition of the newsletter to the Mass General news platform Advances in Motion. Today, I am responsible for all Radiology content on the platform, writing monthly articles, overseeing freelancer-written journal summaries and guiding the development of video content.
